More than 3,800 families and individuals will benefit from $52.6 million in Competitive Affordable Housing Program grants in 2018.

The Competitive Affordable Housing Program is one of the nation's largest sources of grants for affordable housing projects. Since the inception of the program, FHLB Des Moines has awarded $462 million to provide safe and affordable housing to more than 82,500 families and individuals.

Grants are available to sponsors, which include nonprofits, governments, housing authorities and other qualifying organizations. Sponsors require the support of an FHLB Des Moines member financial instititution to apply.

For Competitive Affordable Housing Program grant recipients in Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota and South Dakota, utilize the forms to the right to support the disbursement and project administration process.

Projects awarded in 2014 or prior:

Project Administration (Western States)

For Competitive Affordable Housing Program grant recipients in Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and the U.S. Pacific territories of American Samoa, Guam and Northern Mariana Islands, utilize the forms to the right to support the disbursement and project administration process.
