Membership with FHLB Des Moines is open to eligible commercial banks, thrifts, credit unions, insurance companies and community development financial institutions (COFIs) whose charter or principal place of business (PPOB) is located in either Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming, the U.S. territories of American Samoa and Guam or the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
