Eligibility

Use of Funds

Member Impact Funds must be used for an eligible grantees:

  1. Working capital; and/or
  2. Capacity building

The Member Impact Fund application will ask you to identify if the award will be used to support housing affordability or community development and will ask additional questions within those two categories. For example, if community development is selected, you will be asked if the purpose is a food bank, youth program, etc.
 

Member Impact Fund awards must not be:

  • Awarded to a member’s foundation, member trade organization’s foundation, or similar
  • Used for a donation previously made by the member
  • Used for political purposes, including contributions to political parties or candidates, lobbying activities, or any activities that have a negative impact on communities or individuals
  • Used for educator salaries or private schools
  • Used for the exclusive use of a church, i.e., new roof or sound system
    • Member Impact Fund awards may be used by churches for activities that benefit the public such as shelters, food banks, supportive services, etc.
