Christopher Perez

Mr. Perez has more than 30 years of experience in philanthropy and impact investing, with deep expertise in housing, community economic development, and strengthening community development financial institutions (CDFIs). He joined Alaska Community Foundation in March 2026, as a senior member of the Special Initiatives team, currently focused on implementing the Rural Health Transformation Program. Alaska Community Foundation is the sponsor of Housing Alaskans: A Public-Private Partnership, Alaska's statewide housing accelerator and trust fund that blends public and philanthropic capital to address Alaska's acute housing shortage. 

Before joining Alaska Community Foundation, Mr. Perez spent 17 years at the Rasmuson Foundation, most recently serving as Vice President of Programs, where he oversaw core grantmaking, managed the program-related investment portfolio, and guided strategic philanthropic initiatives in housing and economic development across the state. Earlier in his career, he managed grants and impact investments supporting homeownership and small business development in rural and underserved communities across the western United States, working extensively within the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines footprint.
