Volunteerism

Building stronger communities doesn’t happen overnight. And, it doesn’t happen alone. At FHLB Des Moines, volunteering is part of our community-minded mission, giving new meaning to teamwork and building stronger communities. Our employees volunteer in a number of ways including reading in classrooms, hosting mock interviews, serving meals and organizing donations in shelters, mentoring youth and helping revitalize neighborhoods.

Matching Gifts Program

Through our Matching Gifts Program, qualified employee gifts up to $1,000 made to eligible 501(c)(3) organizations are matched by the company, doubling the impact made by our employees.

Disaster Relief

We stand strong in our steadfast support of communities through all obstacles. That’s why we provide financial assistance during natural disasters or other emergencies.
