As chief legal and compliance officer, Rob is the corporate secretary, leads legal and compliance, government relations, external and public relations, community investment, and the Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI).
Rob oversees the legal affairs of the Bank and provides advice and counsel to directors, officers and employees on legal and compliance issues affecting the Bank. He also establishes our direction for government relations and external relations work in support of the Bank’s mission and members.
Prior to joining FHLB Des Moines, Rob practiced law at Davis Brown Law Firm in Des Moines from 2010-2013, and at Vedder Price P.C. in Chicago from 2001-2010.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Iowa and his Juris Doctor degree from Drake University Law School. He graduated from the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute in 2013 and served as Board President for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa.
