Income Limits
For occupied projects that are not utilizing an approved relocation plan, the items listed below must be collected from the current tenants prior to submitting an AHP application.
We will utilize details from those tenants’ recertifications of the AHP award year for future monitoring and compliance reviews. E.g., If an occupied project submits an AHP application in 2025; we’d expect to receive the occupied tenant’s 2025 recertification details.
- AHP Initial Certification/Move in Income Checklist or similar Tenant Income Certification forms.
- Third-party income and asset documentation validating the household’s projected gross annual income.
- Rental AHP Income Calculation Guidelines must be reviewed for assistance in calculating the tenant’s gross annual income.
- Rental Certification of Zero Income Form must be completed by household members 18 years old or older who claim no income from any source.
- Lease addendum or Notice of Rent Changes, if applicable.
- The household’s income calculations must be documented in a way that ensures they can be easily duplicated and confirmed by FHLB Des Moines.
