Employee Feature: Janette Thede
Janette Thede might have just stepped into her new role as Collateral Manager in August, but she has 34 years of valuable experience working at the Bank in various positions.
“A lot has evolved over the years including people, processes, locations and especially technology,” Janette said. “I’ve held positions in several member facing areas including Wire Transfer, Collateral, Pledging, Risk & Cash, Customer Service, Safekeeping & Financial Settlement.”
Transitioning to her new role as Collateral Manager during a pandemic has been an interesting experience, to say the least.
“I was already working from home due to the pandemic before accepting this position,” Janette said. “As I continue to work from home I am transitioning to new responsibilities and becoming a first-time manager in the online realm.”
Through all of the ups and downs that 2020 has brought, Janette’s number-one motivation to keep going to work each day is to serve our members.
“Our members and their customers are the reason we exist and I enjoy being able to be of assistance whenever I can,” Janette said. “I love working alongside the rest of my Member and Financial Operations team members and interacting with our members to help them meet their day-to-day needs.”
Outside of work, Janette enjoys reading, crafting, remodeling and decorating projects and spending time with friends and family.
