Webinar: Capital Planning: More Than Just an Adequacy Exercise

Tuesday, March 9, 2021 - 3:00 - 4:15 PM Central

When many financial institutions think of capital planning, it often involves an “adequacy” exercise: Do I have enough capital for growth, an acquisition, or for a downturn? Capital planning today needs to be much more robust. You must be proactive with future capital needs, assess the impact of various forms of available capital and deploy methodologies that benefit current shareholders while solving many issues facing public, quasi‐public, and private financial institutions.

As part of our Series of Solutions, FHLB Des Moines has partnered with Performance Trust Capital Partners to bring you this 75-minute webinar sharing tactics to optimize your capital while mitigating risk in the current economic environment.

Attendees will leave the webinar knowing how to:

  • Assess the health of your capital, not only for credit downturns but for margin compression and the ability to take advantage of potential future opportunities.
  • Analyze and quantify opportunities for uses of capital.
  • Assess the risk and reward of various types of capital available to community financial institution holding companies.
  • Utilize different sources of capital that may help alleviate current pressures facing most community financial institutions and the impact of that capital cost.

We hope you can join us as we tackle this increasingly relevant topic.

Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credit will be available for this webinar. Scroll to the bottom of the page for more details.
