FHLBank System at 100: Focusing on the Future Initiative

On August 31, the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), announced the FHLBank System at 100: Focusing on the Future initiative - two public listening sessions and a series of regional roundtable discussions through which the FHFA will engage the Federal Home Loan Bank System's stakeholders to position the System for the future. This initiative will aim to ensure that the Home Loan Banks are best positioned to continue to act on our mission and meet the needs of our members and the communities we serve.

We believe that FHLB Des Moines and our stakeholders have a great story to tell, and we are grateful for the FHFA’s interest in hearing it during these listening sessions. We encourage our members to participate in the listening sessions and submit written comments to the FHFA.

Wrap-up listening sessions hosted by the FHFA:

FHFA will close out its review with a listening session on March 22-24, 2023.

Participation on March 23 and 24 will be virtual only. On all three days, the listening session will begin at 12:30pm ET and conclude by 4:00pm ET. Registration will open soon.
