For 30 years, participants in the FHLB Des Moines Affordable Housing Program (AHP) – Competitive AHP, Home$tart and the Native American Homeownership Initiative (NAHI) - have played a critical role in providing families and individuals with safe and affordable housing opportunities.  Take advantage of the tips and resources on this page to share the impact your institution has made, while celebrating the partnerships that made it possible.

Using the resources on this page, here are a few ideas to get you started:

  • Reach out to your local media and community contacts.

  • Gather local leaders to celebrate and recognize AHP projects through ground breaking, ribbon cutting or rededication events.

Social Media

Share your impact with our hashtag #AHP30!

Help us spread the word about the 30th Anniversary of the Affordable Housing Program and share how your financial institution has played a critical role in the program on social media. Some ideas to help you spread the word:

  • Take a photo of employees at your financial institution holding your AHP 30th recognition award. Post it to social media using the hashtag #AHP30
  • Snap a photo onsite for one (or more!) of the AHP projects your institution participated in. Post it to social media using the hashtag #AHP30
  • Share that your institution is being recognized as an AHP award recipient by sharing one of the graphics below on your institution’s social media.
  • Collect project and homeowner testimonials to share via social media.
  • Personalize one of the copy ideas provided below for your own posts.
  • Make sure to tag us in any social posts you might do.
