Wire Hours & Deadlines

Hours of Operation
The Wire Transfer Department is available to assist you with questions Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until the Federal Reserve Bank closes, which is generally 5:30 PM Central Standard Time (CST). You can wire from either your Demand Account or from your Daily Time Account. You can withdraw funds from your account until 4:30 PM CST. Incoming funds are accepted until 4:30 PM CST.

Holiday Financial Planning
On days prior to certain holidays the market is very volatile. As a cooperative, we want to provide the best rates possible to all of our members, at all times, and that includes the time period prior to the Federal Reserve holidays.

 

Providing the best service to you during the holidays is very important to our Wire Transfer Services area. Please let us know your funding requirements as soon as you are aware of your daily need to draw or deposit funds. With your cooperation, we can accommodate your investment needs timely. Notifying the FHLB Des Moines Wire Transfer Services area by noon allows us to provide the best rate possible to all of our members on days prior to certain holidays. Typical major holidays for early funding needs are Good Friday, the Wednesday before and the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.
