Rechlin Re-appointed to FHLB Des
Moines Advisory Council
Paul E. Rechlin, executive director,
CommunityWorks North Dakota in
Bismarck, North Dakota, was recently
re-appointed to serve on the Federal
Home Loan Bank of Des Moines’
Affordable Housing Advisory Council
(AHAC). He will serve a three-year
term beginning January 1, 2007.
Since 1984, Mr. Rechlin has been the
executive director of the Lewis and
Clark Regional Development Council,
a ten-county community and economic
development organization. He has
also been the executive director of
CommunityWorks North Dakota, a
statewide nonprofit that provides
affordable housing programs,
services and financing throughout
North Dakota since it was created in
1995. Mr. Rechlin also serves on
several other community and economic
development organizations including
the boards of directors for the
North Dakota Rural Development
Council and the National
NeighborWorks Association.
The AHAC advises the FHLB on housing
and economic development programs
and needs. Advisory council members
are a diverse group of people from
across the FHLB’s five-state
district of Iowa, Minnesota,
Missouri, North Dakota and South
Dakota and typically have an
extensive housing and economic
development background.
Dan Buck, chief executive officer of
St. Patrick Center in St. Louis,
Missouri; Francisco Hernandez,
marketing specialist at Iowa Finance
Authority in Des Moines, Iowa; Randy
Railsback, executive director of
Green Hills RPC in Trenton,
Missouri; and Tonya White Mountain,
loan packager for Standing Rock
Housing Authority in Fort Yates,
North Dakota were appointed to their
first terms on the AHAC.
