Capital Communities have unique projects, people and ideas that set them apart as successful. Through vision, planning and teamwork, these communities have met the challenge of sustaining or revitalizing their local economies. Thousands of Capital Communities exist throughout the country – communities where people step up as leaders, take innovative ideas, work together and accomplish great things. For the fourth year, the FHLB Des Moines is recognizing a few of the many outstanding communities in its five-state district as Capital Communities.
