Urban First-time Homebuyer Fund
FHLB
Des Moines has awarded 21 members
$1.0 million through the Urban
First-time Homebuyer Fund to assist
eligible first-time homebuyers in
purchasing homes in urban locations.
In response to community housing and
economic challenges, the Bank
updated the Urban First-time
Homebuyer Fund guidelines to pay
special attention to foreclosure
projects. Eligible households
received up to $10,000 to purchase a
foreclosed property.

for compliance with anti-predatory
lending laws and regulations,
apply
only to the 2010 subsidy award, not
the 2009 subsidy award.

funding a 2009 UFT commitment in

that year, which can be found in the
table below.

program in 2008.
