Community Investment: AHP, 2009 Grant Recipients

2009 Grant Recipients

The Affordable Housing Program (AHP) was designed to help FHLB Des Moines member financial institutions and their community partners develop affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households. Each year FHLB Des Moines commits 10 percent of its annual net income for the creation of rental units, the rehabilitation of homes and the expansion of services for underserved populations.

Forty-one AHP grants totaling $12.6 million were awarded by FHLB Des Moines in 2009 to assist with the purchase, construction or rehabilitation of affordable housing for low- to moderate-income households.
