Grant Recipients
Members and
non-profit organizations have
partnered with FHLB Des Moines to
strengthen their communities by
providing quality, safe and
affordable homes. In 2008, FHLB Des
Moines held two competitive AHP
grant cycles.
In total,
$17.7 million was awarded to 54
grant recipients for the creation of
rental units, the rehabilitation of
homes and the expansion of services
for underserved populations through
the Affordable Housing Program. The
projects slated for completion with
these grants will create 1,976
affordable housing units with
development costs totaling $139.9 million.
