Dan Clute is executive vice president and chief business officer for Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. Prior to joining the Des Moines Bank in 2011 as its senior vice president and director of communications and external relations, he served as vice president and treasurer of Wells Fargo Financial, vice president and state director of public affairs for Citigroup and site chief financial officer for a Citi Cards operations center.
Dan has also served in public office. He served as an elected member of the Iowa House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009 and prior to that was an elected member of the Clive City Council for five years. He also has a long history of non-profit board of director leadership, including past president of the board of directors of Habitat for Humanity of Iowa, Inc. and the Greater Iowa Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). He was appointed by the governor of Iowa in 2012 to a four-year term on the Board of Directors of the Iowa Student Loan Liquidity Corporation. Dan received his MBA from the University of Iowa, where he also obtained his B.B.A. degree in Finance.
