FHLB Des Moines board is comprised of 16 directors: nine member directors and seven independent directors. Two of the independent directors are public interest directors.
While directors generally serve a four-year term on the Bank’s board, some may serve shorter terms to ensure that approximately one-fourth of the terms expire each year. All directors serve on one or more of the Bank’s board committees: Mission, Member and Housing; Risk Management; Finance and Planning; Audit; Executive and Governance; Business Operations and Technology; Compensation.
